Burning Up
I burned my left forearm on Sunday. More seriously than I realised apparently. It's all swollen, and red, and the burn area looks like some sort of mutation special effect from a cheesy sci fi movie. I may even go to the doctor if it doesn't get better in a week or so.
But I've been excused from washing up duties by Mrs A.
I'll have to break my leg and see if I can get out of taking the rubbish out next.

Stupidly, after mowing the lawn on the front street I picked the mower up to carry it up the front steps. My forearm touched the engine and become sort of welded to it. Not wanting to drop my new mower I turned around and laid it gently on the grass and had to rip a reasonable amount of skin and flesh off to free myself. Then I managed to get the mower up to the front garden and mow for another hour or so before I thought I should probably go and wash all the dirt off it. Funny how these things happen.

Thats gross JtH. Only a man would care more about the mower than his own health and safety and skin.
Question for you... did you wash the mower before you put it away? My mum did the lawns at their place the other day, washed the mower, then wanted to know if she needed to start it again before she put it away. No-one knew. It'd never occurred to us to wash the mower.
Are we lazy? Or is this a weird mum thing?

I must say I've never done more than brush the excess dirt off it. Once in a while I take it into town so the guys on street corners can give the windshield a once over, but no more effort than that.
